4. Agents

For a visual test, colour is the easiest to set up and understand result validity, so lets start there.

Colour Information

As well as providing a quick way to get started with Lumi Agents, the Colour Information Agent is a great way to track equipment status lights, especially on older equipment that lacks convenient data export options. It can be used to track liquid colour changes.

When initiated the Colour AI Agent will ask you to select an area on the video feed that you would like to track the colour information for. This area is fixed to 5x5 pixels. Select up to 5 different points, repositioned when you click. When you're happy, confirm by clicking "That's the area". Each point can be named individually.

Once created, the Colour Agent will report the average red, green, blue (RGB) values of the selected area, reflecting the dominant colour of each area selected.

Like all Lumi Agents, activating the Colour Information Agent will add a track to the timeline.

Text Detection

The Text Agent allows you to capture readings from instruments like balances and pH meters.

Choose a Device with the text you want to read clearly visible. Take care to avoid glare on the data display you are trying to read from, particularly in environments with variable light conditions.

Selecting New AI Agent >  Machine AI Agents > Text Detection, you will be asked to select the region containing the text. A tight bounding box is helpful. You can select the orientation of the text to be read, by rotating the arrow with the “Rotate text direction” button. Reposition the corners by clicking to select, or delete the area by clicking in the center, and clicking the “Delete area” button. Adjusting the corners can help when the text is viewed at an angle by the camera.
